If using a long overarching narrative, provide summaries of progress

My memory is so gd bad that I can genuinely forget the first half of a sentence by the end. I also generally can’t play a game for too long without taking breaks. Games that give recaps and notes are vastly more enjoyable.
Eldritch Gams, via Twitter

Remembering what has happened to date in a narrative can be difficult for people who have impaired short or long term memory, but also other people without permanent impairments, for example someone who just hasn’t played the game in a while.

Best practice example: Destiny 2
Best practice example: Final Fantasy XIII
