A wide array of accessibility options, including turning off common epilepsy/migraine/simulation sickness triggers, adding environmental assists, fine grained control over difficulty, and captions for important sound effects

Example of:

  • Provide captions or visuals for significant background sounds
  • Allow gameplay to be fine-tuned by exposing as many variables as possible
  • Avoid flickering images and repetitive patterns
  • Include assist modes such as auto-aim and assisted steering

A collaborative effort between a group of studios, specialists and academics, to produce a straightforward developer friendly reference for ways to avoid unnecessarily excluding players, and ensure that games are just as fun for as wide a range of people as possible.
